El Toro restaurant in Šubićeva Street near Zagreb’s Kvatrić, with its covered terrace is one of the long-standing favorite gastronomic destinations for lovers of good food and drinks.

It is a unique space on two floors, modern and attractively decorated with elements of glass, wood and iron and with a great atmosphere. The same is especially realized in the evening when the restaurant turns into a bar with good music. Therefore, El Toro is one of the favorite gathering places of the younger audience.

Corda project lighting fixtures according to the idea of architect Rendulić

Lighting fixtures for the perfect impression of food on the guest in the evening were made by the company Corda project. It is an El Toro lamp that fits perfectly into the rest of the interior, decorated according to the idea of architect Christian Rendulić. It is worth mentioning that during his career he designed some of the most famous restaurants in Zagreb such as El Toro, Apetit City and Time. Unfortunately, shortly after the completion of the restaurant El Toro died suddenly at 46. years of life from a heart attack.

Hanging luminaires of aluminum body

It is a hanging lightfix that fits perfectly into the rest of the interior with its aluminum body. The same model of lamps adorned the ‘younger brother’ of the popular restaurant, El Toro Street, which opened before the pandemic and the earthquake in the interior of the legendary Mundoaka. El Toro Street had an attractive menu and did a great job the first season. However, the renaming to El Toro Burger&Ribs coincided with the pandemic, the earthquake and the absence of tourists, who before the corona were extremely numerous and important guests of Zagreb restaurants in the center, so last year there was a closure.
