Sculptural lighting for a technological premium space

The Teximp showroom in Ivanja Reka has been dominated by one striking element for years – a custom hanging chandelier called Constellia, which we made at Corda. It is a composition of approximately 17 glass shades of varying heights, arranged in an organic shape that serves as a focal point of the space. Individual shades are 20 to 30 centimeters in diameter, while the total installation provides more than 2 meters of vertical drop. Such a structure naturally attracts the eye and defines the space without visually burdening it.

The shades are made of high-gloss glass with effective reflections that change depending on the viewing angle and the surrounding light sources. The warmth of the bulbs inside each unit gives an amber signature that softens the coldness of the industrial interior. It is this balance, the robust space with CNC machines, metal surfaces, and glass walls combined with the softness of the light effect, that makes the chandelier an ideal element for contemporary industrial spaces that want to maintain warmth and a sense of representativeness.

What kind of spaces is this lighting designed for?

This type of lighting is most effective in spaces with high ceilings, where the lighting installation can “breathe” and form a vertical architecture. Examples include:

• hotel lobbies, where the chandelier takes on the role of a visual anchor and first impression
• entrance halls of office buildings, especially those that want to communicate modernity and ambition
• showroom spaces, where lighting should not compete with the products on display, but rather complement them
• restaurants and lounge areas, where reflections and warm tones of light are transformed into ambient value

In the Teximp space, it is seen that the installation also takes on the role of identity, as it creates recognition and clearly defines the character of the place.

As a nice little footnote to the story, a real HAAS F1 car was on display during one of the events in the showroom. We’ll just say this. When your chandelier is in the same frame as a Formula 1 car, it’s hard not to feel the satisfaction of being part of that company.
