Don’t neglect lighting! This project shows how important it is

Interior designer Sandra Katona Šesto , owner of the 600design Interior Design Studio , pays great attention to lighting in her work, as an indispensable element of every quality space. When designing interiors, it is important for her to aesthetically harmonize lighting with the rest of the design, but also its functionality, adaptability and the quality of the light ambience. In achieving these goals, cooperation with Corda Lighting has proven to be extremely useful and efficient.

According to her, Corda Lighting enables easy and precise adaptation of lighting solutions to any space, offering flexibility in design and execution. A special advantage is the ability to order series of coordinated products, as well as the adaptation of individual lighting fixtures to specific designs and needs of the space. This achieves visual harmony, but also consistent quality of light throughout the entire interior. Multi-zone lighting instead of classic solutions

As one of the concrete examples of successful collaboration, the designer cites the Podsljemenski stan project. It was crucial to design the lighting in accordance with the functional division of the space. Since it was an open concept that included several zones – kitchen, bar, dining room, living room and work area – each segment required specific lighting adapted to its purpose.

To avoid the limitations of a single large central chandelier, it was decided to design the space with multi-zone lighting. This approach allowed for an even distribution of light, eliminating the problem of under-lit or overexposed areas. Also, multiple light sources allowed for the atmosphere to be adapted to different activities and times of day.

Functionality and aesthetics in perfect balance

In the kitchen, special emphasis is placed on task lighting, ensuring good visibility and minimizing shadows on the work surfaces. The lighting above the bar combines functionality and aesthetics, emphasizing its role as a transitional, but at the same time key part of the space. Softer, warmer lighting was chosen in the dining room and living room. It created a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, while the work corner is equipped with precise and directional light that does not disrupt the harmony of the rest of the space.
